Victor Benjumea was born in Tarragona in the summer of 1970. He began his interpretative training at age 31 in Barcelona. During that period he made more than 20 short films and after finishing his studies he moved to Madrid where he began his professional career. His debut in the cinema and first great opportunity soon comes from the hand of Fernando Colomo, who chooses to play Cristobal in the film “The Near East.” We have been able to see him in TV series such as: “Amar en tiempos revueltos”, “Los hombre dePaco”, “Sin tetas no hay paraíso”, “El internado”, “Aguila Roja”, “Gavilanes”, “Cuéntame”, “Con el culo al aire”,  among others and in feature films such as:  “La habitación de Fermat” and “Los ojos de Julia”. He has participated in more than 40 short films and continues to collaborate with important producers at the national level.

Born in Madrid in 1976, he holds a BA in Journalism and Advanced Studies Degree in Film History from UAM. Journalist specialized in cultural contents has developed his work for different media such as the newspaper “Federación” (CC.OO), the magazine “Muy interesante”, “Onda 6 TV”, the Mexican magazine “Cine Premiere” Correspondent in Spain between 2004 And 2014) or, currently, the supplement “Metropolis” of the newspaper “El Mundo” and the newspaper “Gara”. Member of the editorial staff of the San Sebastián International Festival newspaper, he is also coordinator of the San Sebastián de los Reyes Film and Human Rights Program since 2013.

Catalan actress settled in Madrid, studied in the schools La Casona, Nancy Tuñón and Eolia.

In television, we have seen her in numerous series such as “Arrayán”, “El cor de la ciutat”, “La dársena de Poniente”, “Hospital Central”, “Diarios del miedo” …

She has also participated in several films such as “Crossing the Border”, “Pixel Theory”, “Train station”, “Everything ends at the end of the day”, “Viral”, …

In the theater scene, she has performed in works such as “The house of Bernarda Alba”, “The red road of Sabaiba”, “The last I pay yo”, …

Soon we will be able to see her in the television series “I would like”, of Divinity, and in the film “The necklace of salt”, of the director Vicente Pérez Herrero.

HOTEL SALVATION, Dir. Shubhashish Bhutiani | India | 2016 | 102’ An ominous dream convinces 77-year-old Dayanand Kumar that his end could be near. He takes the news to his son Rajiv, knowing he wants to breathe his last in the holy city of Varanasi and end the cycle of rebirth, by attaining salvation. Being the dutiful son he is, Rajiv is left with no choice but to drop everything and make the journey with his stubborn father. Daya and Rajiv check into Mukti Bhawan (Hotel Salvation) in Varanasi, a guesthouse devoted to people who want to die there. But as the days go by, Rajiv struggles to juggle his responsibilities back home, while Daya starts to bloom in the hotel. Rajiv gives his father a shot at salvation but as family bonds are tested, he finds himself torn, and not knowing what he must do to keep his life together.

SHUBHASHISH  BHUTIANI

He is a writer and director. Known for Kush (2013), Hotel Salvation (2016), and The Star (2012).

Kush is a short film set in the year 1984 around the anti-Sikh riots after the assassination of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The film revolves around a school picnic where a teacher is trying to protect Kush, the only Sikh child in the group from the violence around him.

Directed by debutante Shubhashish Bhutiani, Kush has won several awards at prestigious film festivals including the Best Short Film Award at the Venice Film Festival and the National Award in 2013. The same way Hotel Salvation has been at Venice.

Bonnie(33) is again on the run. He has been on the run from his family and sports fraternity since failing ‘sex test’ before the Bangkok Asian Games, 1998. A born hermaphrodite, raised by poor, illiterate and confused parents as a girl named ‘Bandana’, s/he became one of the finest strikers of Indian Woman’s football team in her/his short career. A Sex Reassignment surgery later transformed her/him to a man but left him without home or career. He left home, took up idol-making for a living.He met Swati(24) then, married soon and moved once again fearing social backlash. His fight to establish his identity, struggle for existence met by a sarcastic society yet to learn to take ‘other genders’ seriously.
