In 2007, Àlex is nominated to Max Prizes for “Tape”. In 2011 received 3 Prizes Escénica for “Algú Que Miri Per Mi”. In 2012 released his first short film “Lucifer” at Aguilar de Campoo Shorts Film Festival. He’s professionally worked as actor, director, screenwriter, and composer at many projects.

Miquel Verd is the owner and executive producer of Singular Audiovisual SL, a film and television production company, created in 2001 and located in Mallorca. He has produced and directed all kinds of film and television projects, for regional television IB3 and TVE.

WILLIAM KIRKLEY

WILLIAM A. KIRKLEY is a Los Angeles native who at a young age developed a deep interest in filmmaking, graphic design, and photography. His formative years were spent making documentaries and music videos in Los Angeles and New York.

Kirkley enjoys all facets of filmmaking, including shooting, editing, and incorporating design elements in post-production. Finding the humanity in the story and weaving it together with unique camera work, art direction and direction lends itself to artful and heartwarming stories. His commercial and digital work for clients like Amazon, PetCo, Heineken, Reebok, SOS Children’s Villages, and Chevrolet, has a documentary style and a focus on real people.

Alessandro Porzio is a director and screenwriter. Since 2008 he has directed numerous music videos, commercials (such as LoackerThun) and successful short films. “Rumore Bianco”, nominated for Nastri d’Argento 2013, has won major awards including Best Film at the Mostra del Cinema Italiano in Barcelona and the Jury Award at Bif&st Bari Int. Film Festival. In 2014 he directed “Niente”, with Filippo Gili and Vanessa Scalera, and in 2015 he directed the international project “Mido”: a four dimensional video installation commissioned by Expo 2015. “Mattia sa Volare (Mattia can fly)”(2016) was in competition at Clermont-Ferrand Int. Short Film Festival 2017 and Giffoni Film Festival“Valzer” (2016), co-directed with Giulio Mastromauro, was selected at Tirana Film Festival and Flickers’ Rhode Island Int. Film Festival“Come a Mìcono (Like in Mykono)”(2020), his latest short film, is a world premiere at Alice nella Città within the Mostra del Cinema di Roma.

Broken Frame is a story of a Kolkata based couple – Moushimi and Amit. While Moushimi is a homemaker, Amit is an IAS officer dealing with a crisis at his work place related to identity of an individual reciting in a nation. They have been married for seven years now and are trying to have a baby for most of their married life. The couple has consulted IVF experts too, but they haven’t had any luck yet.

Amidst their longing for a baby and the rising pressure from the in-laws, Amit feels lost and deviates from his marriage. He gets attracted to another woman, while Moushimi is still doing her best to make the marriage work and trying to conceive as well.

This is a story of marriage and infidelity through the journey of exploring, losing and questioning one’s identity.

RAM KAMAL MUKHERJEE

Ram Kamal Mukherjee born in North Kolkata. He developed an interest in actress Hema Malini after watching her films.  When his father Jaydeb Mukherjee realized that he had an interest in writing, he encouraged Ram to write a ‘letter to the editor’ on his favourite topic (Hema Malini) to Screen (now Hotstar). The letter, and a subsequent one, was published in the newspaper and led to the start of a career as a freelance journalist in 1995. Mukherjee graduated in Media and Film Studies at the University of Calcutta. After the period working for Screen, he was appointed as the sub editor for The Asian Age in Kolkata in 2001. He was appointed as the official journalist for Kolkata Film Festival. In 2003, he moved to Mumbai, where he became a Senior Correspondent at Stardust magazine.

Ram Kamal Mukherjee is best known for Hema Malini – Diva Unveiled, an unofficial biography which was published in 2005.

Hayati is a writer whose talent as well married life worsens. He is deeply obsessed with reviving a dried walnut tree at his father’s house. The more he tries to dig into his father’s past and death, the more confused and lost he gets. Finding out about his wife’s affair is a terrible blow, but his seemingly weak character does not allow him to react the way he is expected to. While struggling to get rid of his hellish life, he meets his best friend’s fiancée, who looks so much like his own ex-girlfriend, inspiring him to write again. Surprisingly, the walnut tree starts budding, too. Just as hope flares up inside him, his mother dies and his wife elopes with her lover. He can no longer take it and leaves the town. A couple of days later, the police discovers the burned body of a woman. Hayati is arrested and accused of murder. Though innocent, he pleads guilty.

FAYSAL SOYSAL

Faysal Soysal was born in Batman in 1979. He left medical school to focus on poetry and cinema in 2000. Between 2003 and 2007, he finished MA on “Film Directing” in Tehran Art University-Iran and at the same time “New Turkish Literature” at Van Yuzuncuyil University-Turkey. He did 4 short films in Iran, which were awarded at international film festivals. With ‘Dreams of Lost Time’(35mm), he’s become closer to find his own cinematographic language. In 2008, with a scholarship, he attended to the New York Film Academy and directed 4 short films. He has been selected for Talent Campus of Sarajevo Film Festival at 2009. He did his first feature film ‘Crossroads’ in 2013, (Filmed in Turkey and Bosnia) and it got 13 awards from film festivals. He did documentary series for Al Jazire and TRT TV. He used to be voluntary of Doctors Worldwide and produced Africa documentaries about their aid. They have been screened on TRT Documentary Channel in the name Worldwide Stories as 11 episodes. He published books on poetry and cinema. He is the director of International Amity Short Film Festival since two years. He finished his second feature film Silenced Tree as a first co-production of Turkish-Iranian at 2020.

Cairo, January 25, 2013. A string of severe sexual assaults takes place in Tahrir Square on the day of the second anniversary of the revolution. In response, a huge crowd of enraged women surges onto the streets. Samaher Alqadi joins them, taking her camera with her as protection but also to document the protests of a burgeoning women’s rebellion. She has no idea where the story will take her. Samaher’s filming coincides with her falling pregnant, and this prompts her to consider her childhood in Palestine and what it means to be a woman and a mother.

Puthirai Vannaar is an ‘unseeable’ Dalit caste group, in southern India. Their forced-occupation is to wash clothes of other Dalits, the dead and the menstruating women. This film is a tale about a young girl who grew up in Puthirai vannaar caste group and how she came to be immortalised as their local deity, Maadathy.

In the early hours of 12 August, Xosé Ramón Reboiras Noia (better known as Moncho Reboiras) was shot dead by the dictator Franco’s Spanish police in Ferrol (Galiza) when he was only twenty-five years old. Very early on, this young man with nationalist convictions had become a leading member of the clandestine Galizan People’s Union (UPG) and was widely recognised as a key figure of the Organisation by broad sectors of Galizan society through his involvement in the defence of Galizan culture, trade unionism and politics.
To mark the 45th anniversary of his assassination, the film ‘Reboiras. Acción y corazón’ [‘Reboiras. With heart and hand’] traces the path of this young Galizan, portrayed from both the human and the political angles. His life and thinking are depicted through interviews with thirty witnesses with whom he shared different periods of his life.

ALBERTE MERA

Alberte Mera (Vigo, 1987). Graduated in Audiovisual Communication from the University of Vigo, with a specialty in Script and Audiovisual Direction, and a master’s degree in Communication and Creative Industries from the University of Santiago. He is currently a journalist at Nós Diario. ‘Reboiras. Acción e corazón ‘is his fifth documentary. He directed the short films ‘Camiño da Memoria’ (2011) and ‘Deixádeas Pasar’ (2012) and the feature films ‘Clamor da Terra’ (2012) and ‘Lume Novo’ (2013).

With her heart pounding like the torrential rain around her, she holds on to this unreasonable hope.
