Nima Abdolazimi (born July 10, 2000) is a filmmaker and a graduate in Film Directing. He began his cinematic career in 2015, working with directing teams and participating in several short and feature films. In 2021, he wrote, produced, and directed his first film titled “I Turn Off the Lights” in Sanandaj. His second film titled “Domestic” was made in 2024 with the collaboration of the Young Cinema Society of Iran. Abdolazimi’s work has earned recognition and accolades in various prestigious film festivals. He has participated in and received nominations in multiple categories at the 41st Tehran Short Film Festival, where he was nominated for Best Film, Best Screenplay, Best Direction, Artistic Achievement, and Cinematography. Additionally, he was included in the second list of the 14th Independent Short Film Festival of Iran (ISFA) and featured in the 43rd Fajr Film Festival. He won the Best Editing and Best Technical Achievement awards at the Fanoos Khial Student Festival in Damghan and was honored with the Special Award for Best Young Talent under 25 at the 21st Image of the Year Festival (Cinema Section). Furthermore, Abdolazimi received the Special Jury Award and Best Screenplay Award at the 14th Saye Film Festival. Recently, the international distribution of his short film Ahli has begun. In recognition of his talent, Abdolazimi was honored as a Young Talent at the 3rd Mehrcinema Festival in Iran.
