Born 1994 in Germany, he spent 10 years of his childhood in Tanzania. After shooting his first short films during his studies in audiovisual media, he worked as an assistant director on feature film and TV productions in Berlin. Since 2020 he has been studying film directing at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg.

Melody teaches music at a centre for cancerous children. The thirty children are having a party at the end of autumn and ask Melody to compose a piece using the sounds of thirty different birds. She goes to her home village to record the birdsong and is helped by the mute caretaker of the family home, Mango. When they find just 20 birds, Mango makes Melody understand that only the old village singer knows where the other birds are, but bird hunters have forced him out of the village. Melody sets out to find both him and the missing birds.

It is 1930. A bitterly crying two-years-old child is seeing her mother off on her way to a film shooting. An elderly man turns to the mother and asks her where she was going to and whether it was worth the child’s tears.
The film is an attempt to answer this question.
The woman leaving for film shooting is Nutsa Gogoberidze – the first woman filmmaker in Georgia and one among the first in the Soviet Union.
Two years old child is me — Lana Gogoberidze. Today 95 years old film maker. In the 30s Nutsa shot two films immediately banned by the Soviet censorship. In 1937, during the times of Great Terror, she was arrested and exiled for 10 years.

As things begin to take a turn for the worse people find their thoughts trapped in the bad old days.

A glimpse in the day of a son visiting his sick father. The film follows the son as he helps his father with his daily routines, while trying to create a connection with the distant figure.

Filmmaker from Finland who has studied cinema in Helsinki and Tallinn, and recently graduated from ECAM in Madrid, majoring in film direction. He works both in documentaries and fiction. In his opinion, often one inspires the other. Markus is interested in telling intimate stories that explore the struggle and coexistence of beauty and ugliness. The documentary Wanha Markku (Under Construction) is Markus’ first feature length film.

In what is very likely his final film, the great Australian actor David Gulpilil faces his own mortality: he is dying of lung cancer. Holding the camera figuratively in the palm of his hand, David performs directly for whoever might be out there in the future looking at him, to what is for him his final audience. He talks about what it is to stare down death, and what it was to live a life such as he did, a dizzying mix of traditional Aboriginal ways and modern Hollywood excess, and everything in between. It is pure, unmediated and unvarnished David Gulpilil, finally able to say in a film exactly what he wants to say.
