Taras Dron and Ameen Nayfeh win Best Director Award in Madrid at Imagineindia 2021 for their films Blindfold and 200 Meters
Taras Dron is a member of European Film Academy and Ukrainian FA. He studied Protection of Information at the faculty of automatics (full-time, 5 years) at the National University “Lviv Polytechnic” at 1997-2002.
Then he worked as Inspector of information security, Lviv State University of Internal Affairs. Responsible for the video archive of the University. 2010 – 2011 Founder and owner of a film and video production studio, rental equipment “Nord Production”.
Yurii Pidtserkovny wins Best Editing Award at the 20 th edition of Imagineindia in Madrid for the film BLINDFOLD (Taras Dron) Ukraine.
Independent Ukrainian film editor. Born in June 27, 1985 in Lviv (Ukraine). After graduating from high-school, he entered the Lviv College ofCulture and Arts, and later to the local music college named after Stanislav Lyudkevich. In the 2000s he was the founder of several successful music bands, but after end of music he followed his real vocation and chose the craft of films editing.
Marina Koshkina wins Best Actress Award at Imagineindia 2021 for the film BLINDFOLD (Taras Dron).
Marina Koshkina is an actress of theater and cinema. 2014-2018 studied at the University of Cinema and Television named after Karpenk-Kary, workshop of the People’s Artist of Ukraine B.M. Benyuk 2016 works at the Young Theater, where she plays in the play “Gagarin and Barcelona”. 2017 collaborates with the Maly Theater, where she plays in the play “Valentine’s Day”. 2018 works at the Franco Theater Kyiv.
Apoorva Satish wins Best Student Film Award at Imagineindia 2021 for the film KANYA, Famu Film School.
Born and raised in Chennai, a colourful conglomerate of urban villages, Apoorva was fascinated by the power of Tamil filmdom in state politics, igniting a passion for creating films that are socially and politically aware. To hone her creative skills as a filmmaker, Apoorva travelled to many countries: Sri Lanka, Israel, Italy, Jordan, England, and the USA to work on fiction and non-fiction projects. In 2016, she was selected to attend the International Filmmaking Academy in Bologna under the tutorship of award-winning directors Danis Tanovic and Claudia Llosa.
Debajyoti Mishra wins Best Music Award at Imagineindia 2021 for the film The Flute of the indian director Hari Viswanath.
‘Debajyoti Mishra is a composer, musician and a painter from Kolkata, India with a distinct international edge. His musical orientation has been fashioned by diverse influences including western and eastern classical music, folk and post-modern music; thus blessing his creation with a symphonic dynamism.
The XX edition of Imagineindia International Film Festival Madrid will take place in Madrid from September 24 to October 9.
96 films, 21 sections, 16 days, competitive sections for feature films, documentaries and short films, 23 members of the International Jury, make Imagineindia one of the classics among European film festivals.
