Paulius Markevicius is one of the most active young generations talent in theatre and performance field. Since 2010 Paulius Markevičius is carrying the ball in many different theatre and film productions. He has established his woks in National theatres as well as independent productions in Lithuania. Monodrama “albert,WRU”( 2017 ) was nominated for Golden Cross stage award, whilst upcoming works are supported by the Ministry of Culture. His work in independent field was appreciated with Young artist prize in collaboration with Arts and Science Laboratory ( 2018 ).
His acting career has been noticed with appreciation and awards. Last appearance in film “Summer survivors” by Marija Kavtaradzė brought him Best Actor award ( 2019 ).
Studied acting at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, graduating with a BA in 2012, followed by an MA in 2014, Paulius presents his works and takes part in many festivals in Lithuania and abroad. In his home town Vilnius, he settle most of his production in theatre ‘Meno fortas’, where he took lessons from his teacher Eimuntas Nekrošius.
Creating audio collages and atmospheres always was his side-creational buster. From atmospheric audio drama to experimental IDM gatherings, Paulius is always up to innovative ideas, looking forward for a authentic and sincere way to meet the audience, touching the topics that clash imagination and real life stories.
