Shoma A. Chatterji is an Indian film scholar, author and freelance journalist. She has been the recipient of a number of awards including the National Film Award for Best Film Critic in 1991 and the National Awards for Best Writing on Cinema for her study of the works of Aparna Sen in the publication, Parama and Other Outsiders: The Cinema of Aparna Sen (2002). Notably, she is the only woman to have won both the national awards. She is the author of several biographies including those on Pramathesh Barua, Ritwik Ghatak and Suchitra Sen.

There have been many instances where suspected underworld criminals have been killed while in police custody, ostensibly in shootouts while accompanying officers to show arms caches. It is widely held by the general public that while the rule of law has been severely compromised, the police have, on such occasions, acted arbitrarily and with disregard for due process.
It is not the police nor the particular officers but the particular governments that require such suspects to be eliminated. The police merely execute their wishes. For this, relevant officers are offered the carrot of possible promotions. This film discusses the thoughts and concerns of three officers as they travel together to a destination marked for the assassination of a suspect with whom they have no quarrel whatsoever.

Fan Wei (born 2 September 1962) is a Chinese actor known for his roles in Chinese sketch comedies, sitcoms, and films. He gained fame through performances with Zhao Benshan and Gao Xiumin in CCTV New Year’s Galas since 1995. He has been featured in films such as Cell Phone (2003), A World Without Thieves (2004), If You Are the One (2008), and City of Life and Death (2009). He has also acted in several television series produced in mainland China such as Ma Dashuai (2003-2006) and The Long Season (2023).

Harshit Saini comes from a fine arts background, with a specialization in commercial art and illustration. After completing his studies in Applied Arts from the College of Art, Delhi, he pursued cinematography at the Film and Television Institute of India.
He began his career as a visual artist, working on projects in illustration, poster design, and advertising campaigns for various agencies. His early professional work also included product and model photography for brands.

Monica Tiwari is a cinematographer based in Mumbai, India. Finishing her masters in film studies with a specialisation in cinematography from the prestigious Film and Television Institute of India, Monica comes from a background in documentary stills photography with a keen focus on anthropological and environmental relations. Starting her career as a photojournalist for the Hindu newspaper, she is the recipient of grants such as the India Habitat Photosphere, Centre for Science and Environment fellowship, with works shown at Angkor Wat photo festival, Fotogallery Cardiff, India International centre, India Habitat Centre, Alliance Francais India among other places.
