ILYA SOVETOV

Ilya Sovetov was born in 1989 in Samara. He graduated from the Faculty of Directing at the University of Culture in 2010. In 2022, he completed the courses of the Industriya School. One of the most significant projects was the reality show “It’s hard to be a boss”, where Ilya acted as a director for the first time. The work was nominated for a TEFI.
In 2022, he realized his first short film “Mine”. The film became a participant in the festivals “Shorter”, “Spirit of Fire”, “East-West”. In 2024, he released a documentary about the search for relatives in the archives. The film was released on the Yandex platform. In 2025, his directorial documentary “Running Ninja”. He is currently actively working on creating a full-length debut. He lives in Moscow.
