Sergey recently lost his family and faith in the future, but artificial intelligence does not allow him to make a fatal mistake. Once in the loop, a smart speaker starts a dialogue with him. After disconnecting her from the network to complete what she started, the speaker continues to conduct a dialogue, as if she not only hears, but also sees what Sergei is going to do.

KAMIL HARDIN

Kamil was born in 1994 in Magnitogorsk. He graduated from the Kazan Institute of Culture and Arts. Since 2014 he has been working at the Pskov Pushkin Drama Theater. He is a nominee for the All-Russian Theater Award “Golden Mask”. In 2020, the winner of the pitching at the Moscow film school “free cinema” for the script of the feature film “SHEPHERDS”.

DIRECTOR´S NOTE

There are many allegories and connections with Sergei Yesenin in the film. He, like our hero, is going to hang himself, the girl at the beginning of the film reads his verse, the main character is sitting at the Angleterre hotel (where Yesenin hanged himself), deciding to commit suicide (a miracle also happened in this scene. A bell rang in the frame, and a man in a white suit stood up clearly according to the composition and crossed himself). Music written by AI is playing from the main character’s player, in the text of which, Yesenin’s verse, translated into Italian, and encoded in the disco style.
