The story of one sincere and eternal friendship; growing up of a lonely boy and a lonely foal.
After various ups and downs that occurred in Zakir’s family, the boy realizes that there is no one closer to him than the foal, to whom the name Tarlan is given by him. Zakir, who is not understood by his parents, is mocked by his peers, feels lonely and finds a kindred spirit and best friend in Tarlan. Zakir does not give up and believes that his new friend will someday bring him good luck.
The grown-up Zakir and Tarlan have a goal to win at their first races.

YULIYA ZAKHAROVA
Zakharova Yuliya Vasilyevna was born and grew up in the city of Kazan, Republic of Tatarstan. In 2009 she graduated from the Kazan State Institute of Culture and Arts. Then she studied at the Boris Shchukin Theater Institute at the Yevgeny Vakhtangov State Academic Theater. In 2019, she completed retraining courses at the All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography named after S. A. Gerasimov under the program “film and television director”. Associate Professor of the Department of Film and Television Directing at the Faculty of Theater, Cinema and Television of the Kazan State Institute of Culture. From 2010 to 2016 she worked as an actress and director of the theater in Kazan. The productions were performed in the repertoire of the Theater on Bulak, the Actor’s House named after Salimzhanov, the Kazan Theater of the Young Spectator, the Creative Laboratory “Corner” and many other venues in the city. In 2016, she moved into the field of cinematography as a production director and screenwriter. Winner of numerous international competitions and festivals.
