The Countess and the General is a short film directed by Gonzalo Escrig that takes us in the year 1811 during the Napoleonic invasion of Valencia. The film focuses on the Countess of Faura, Doña Elena de Orbe, who is forced to house General Thérandier in her palace and against whom she will secretly conspire to support the Morvedre Urban Militia Battalions, led by Saguntine guerrilla and commander José Romeu.

The actress María Jurado (On Leaving Class) plays Doña Elena de Obre and the Valencian actor Jorge de Guillae (The Promise) plays General Thérandier. The cast is completed by Raquel Querol, (The Favorite 1922), Héctor Juezas (L’ Alqueria Blanca), Rafael Segura (Insurrección) and Cristian Cantín, as José Romeu. In addition, the project has the collaboration of actors from the Passió per Sagunt association.
