Anand a voluntarily retired teacher, has started a movement to show films to school children in remote villages. Taking seriously the power of film as a medium and its impact on children, Anand continues to work to promote film literacy despite public opposition. Anand and his Children’s Film Club have been running an innovative initiative to teach children through cinema for the last 10 years. Noticing his work, a young filmmaker named Omkar meets Anand to make a documentary of his work. Through the process of making the documentary, Anand’s struggle to bring the right cinema to these children is highlighted. One day, while showing a movie in a school in a remote village, suddenly the lights go out and the children get to see only half of the movie. There Anand meets 9 year old boy named Ankur who is very talkative, mischievous and intelligent. While talking, Ankur tells the story of a half-watched movie.from here things take an interesting turn and the story goes straight to “Hollywood” in America. The journey, which started out of love for the medium of cinema takes different turns and takes travelers along to create a bridge to connect two different ends together.

Audio visual media has made human living, dealing and communication more and more simple and effective. Cinema is a very important component of this audio-visual medium. Today, almost 125 years have passed since the invention of cinema and this cinema has permeated human life all over the world. Cinema is a medium used for entertainment, employment and social awareness. Audiences of every age enjoy cinema and one of the most important age group is 6-15 years. One who belongs mainly to school life, has a very strong sense of assimilation and imitation. The influence of cinema on this age group can be good as well as bad. Any kind of influence is enough to change the relationship life of those children. Cineman wants to talk about this good and bad effect of cinema. Through this movie, we want to convey that if good movies can reach these school children, instead of bad movies reaching them, they will have good effects and morals. Cinema is not only a medium of entertainment but also an effective medium of self expression and art. Moreover, the movement to deliver good cinema is not limited to urban areas but it is necessary to reach every child in every village in a developing country like India.
