Kevin Ilango is a Toronto-based visual designer, illustrator, and art director with a passion for storytelling through images. With over eight years of experience, he has worked across corporate, nonprofit, publishing, and creative sectors, bringing visual clarity and emotional depth to marketing communications, branding, and editorial design.
He has held cross-functional positions where he partnered with organizations like The Caravan, Tesco, The Narwhal, and IT for Change. Kevin is known for his powerful poster designs for independent films, bringing narrative essence and visual identity to each project. His work has been featured at major festivals including Outfest LA, where his film poster designs were widely recognized for their originality and cultural resonance.
His design approach is deeply rooted in storytelling, with a keen interest in social justice, identity, and environmental themes. Kevin’s editorial illustrations for The Narwhal explored climate and ecological narratives, while his magazine covers for The Caravan tackled political and cultural shifts in India.
He holds a Master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Art, Media and Design from OCAD University (2023), and a certificate in Creative Communications from MICA (2017). His work has received accolades across platforms-celebrated for its bold use of color, symbolic depth, and sensitivity to context.
