Daniela Creutz – Director, Writer, Visionary

Daniela Creutz is a filmmaker, author, and visionary voice in contemporary cinema. Her journey bridges continents and consciousness—rooted in Germany, shaped by New York, and inspired by the timeless rhythms of India. She studied Film and Communication Design in Munich before continuing her film education at New York University and the New York Film Academy.

Her body of work moves fluidly between fiction and documentary, always guided by a deep curiosity for the human experience. From Nobel Voices, a 33-part series with Nobel Laureates for the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C., to her internationally screened short films Captivated and Conman, her storytelling carries both elegance and edge. With Currents of Life, a 10-part series exploring Germany and Islam, and her award-winning feature documentary Arranged Happiness—a poetic lens on love and tradition in India—Daniela brings global themes into intimate focus. The film received honors across continents, including the Special Jury Award at the Al Jazeera Film Festival (Qatar), the Director’s Vision Award at the International Indian Film Festival in Stuttgart, Best Documentary at the Imagine India Film Festival (Madrid), Best Directing at the Philadelphia Film Festival, a Top 10 Audience Pick at the Cinema Novo Film Festival in Belgium, and a nomination for the Juliane Bartel Media Award in Germany.

As a director, she listens beyond words. As a writer, she translates essence into image. Her work is nourished by years of spiritual practice, travels through sacred landscapes, and a commitment to inner growth as a source of creative power.

A longtime member of the Writers Guild of America (WGA) and the Directors Guild of Germany (BVR), Daniela also serves regularly as a film festival jury member, including as Jury President at the 2018 Metropolis Director’s Guild Awards.

She is currently developing a new slate of projects exploring female empowerment, youth resilience, and intercultural identity — while continuing her work as an author and speaker on creativity, feminine leadership, and spiritual transformation.
