Sepideh Abdolvahab, Jury at Imagineindia

Sepideh has incorporated as Jury Member for Best Editing Award.

Sepideh Abdolvahab is an Iranian-born film editor based in the
United States. She comes from a prominent filmmaking family: her
mother, Haydeh Safiyari, is an internationally acclaimed editor
with two Oscar-winning films and a member of the Academy of
Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, while her father, Mohsen
Abdolvahab, is an award-winning documentary filmmaker and
screenwriter recognized with honors such as the Silver Wolf Award
at Amsterdam and the Asia Pacific Screen Award.

She holds degrees in Theater Directing and Filmmaking. She
began her career assisting her mother, collaborating on projects by
renowned directors such as Asghar Farhadi and Bahman
Ghobadi.

At the age of 22, she edited her first feature film, earning a Best Editing nomination and receiving critical acclaim from Variety magazine. At 23, she became the youngest editor in Iranian cinema history to win the Best Editing Award at the Fajr International Film Festival for her work on Mainline.
With over 70 projects to her credit, including feature films, television series, documentaries, and short films, Sepideh has received three editing awards and over seven nominations. Her work has been featured and awarded at prestigious festivals, including Berlin, Venice, Asia Pacific, Rotterdam, and Palm Springs.

Her portfolio includes films in multiple languages, such as English, Persian, Russian, Afghan, and Kurdish, reflecting her versatility and global perspective.
In addition to her work as an editor, Sepideh has served as a jury member for festivals such as Imagineindia, the Fajr International Film Festival, and the Silent International Film Festival. She has also contributed to education, teaching editing at Bamdad Film College and serving as a professor at CalArts in 2022.
Since 2022, Sepideh has been actively involved in the American film industry and is a proud member of the Motion Picture Editors Guild.
