As Louise prepares to go out of her building, a man hands her a bag before being picked up by the police.

Born in Afghanistan, Chabname Zariab arrives in France at age 7. She publishes her first novel, The Afghan Pianist, with the Editions de l’Aube, and receives in 2011 the Prix Méditerranéen des Lycéens. Later, she writes and directs three short films: When You Hear The Bells, her first movie, receives more than fifty awards at international festivals and is nominated for the French César’s Awards in 2017. In 2018, she writes and directs The Camel Boy, also selected and award-winning in numerous international festivals (BFI, Aesthetica Film Festival, Brooklyn Film Festival, Fajr…). Her latest film, Hizia, is released in 2020 in collaboration with Brigitte Rouan and Bruno Wolkowitch.
Chabname Zaria is currently working on her first feature-length film, Daddy.
